Spanish Baroque Era Painter, 1599-1660 Spanish painter. He was one of the most important European artists of the 17th century, spending his career from 1623 in the service of Philip IV of Spain. His early canvases comprised bodegones and religious paintings, but as a court artist he was largely occupied in executing portraits, while also producing some historical, mythological and further religious works. His painting was deeply affected by the work of Rubens and by Venetian artists, especially Titian, as well as by the experience of two trips (1629-31 and 1649-51) to Italy. Under these joint influences he developed a uniquely personal style characterized by very loose, expressive brushwork. Pier Francesco Guala
(15 September 1698 - 27 February 1757), also known as Pierfrancesco and Pietro Francesco, was an eighteenth-century Italian painter active for the most part in the region of his place of birth, Casale Monferrato. Guala was the seventh of eight siblings of whom only he and a sister survived infancy. His mother died when he was five and he was brought up by his father, Lorenzo, who himself was a painter and perhaps related to the architect Sebastiano Guala. Pier Francesco Guala died in Milan on 27 February 1757.

axel gustaf hertzberg
1832-1878 Axel Gustaf Hertzberg född 27 augusti 1832 i Jämtland, död 2 september 1878 i Dusseldorf , Tyskland var en svensk bildkonstnär. Hertzberg ägnade sig först åt porträtteckning och litografi men övergick senare till oljemåleri. Han studerade vid konstakademien i Stockholm 1849-1860. Han gjorde en resa till Finland där han stannade två år. Därefter studerade han konst i Paris, och slutligen Dusseldorf. Hertzberg blev 1867 agre vid konstakdemien i Stockholm.
